Residents suggest naming a school Trump Elementary

Have you not learned, Worldy McWorldface? If you give regular people something to name, they are going to mess it up. Boaty McBoatface was just the tip of the iceberg. The Robert E. Lee Elementary School in Austin, Texas, wanted a less polarizing, less Confederate-y name and opened the nominating up to the public. Bad idea!

The top suggestion? Donald J. Trump Elementary. Other suggestions? Flavor Flav Elementary. Generic School Name. Adolf Hitler School for Friendship and Tolerance.

World Naked Gardening Day is an actual thing

How are you going to celebrate? Nevermind, DON’T TELL US!

The holiday’s May 7 (if you’d like to set a calendar alert), but people are already talking about it. The aim: to get as close to nature as humanly possible.

“When you’re out there with a gentle breeze on you, every last hair on your body feels it,” the WNGD site reads. “You feel completely connected with the natural world in a way you just can’t in clothes.” We have a feeling your neighbors will think otherwise.

Venezuela is proposing a two-day work week

Fridays are already a day off in Venezuela. Now it wants to add Wednesday and Thursday to the list.

But before you buy a one-way ticket to Caracas, let’s be clear: Venezuelans aren’t jumping in joy about their five-day weekends. There’s serious drought in the country and rolling DIY blackouts. this is meant to conserve energy.

So next time you’re longing for a long weekend, just know it’s energy not always as great as it seems.
